Our team is passionate about APIs (application programming interfaces) and we love to build things, so we got together to build an API management solution to power the programmable web. Based in San Francisco, California, and Barcelona, Spain, the 3scale team is committed to providing high-value, cost-effective solutions for API and web services providers. Steve holds a PhD in artificial intelligence, distributed systems and communications networks, a masters in AI from the University of Edinburgh, and a degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick.

Steven was previously the research director of one of the leading European research groups in Europe on distributed systems and Artificial Intelligence at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. He brings 10 years of technical experience in Web Services, Semantic Web, network technology and the management of large-scale international R&D teams.
Mark heads up Technical Customer Operations, Business Development and Partnerships at 3scale. Previously VP Products at NTRGlobal group, he was responsible for product management, portfolio planning, and usability engineering for SaaS solutions. Before that he was HP Software’s global head of Product Management for the IT Management business unit. Mark holds a degree in Software Engineering from the University Of Birmingham, UK and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
An engineering leader and product development veteran, Andrew counts IP creation and management, software quality and managing diverse, geographically spread teams among his specialties. His previous experience includes RD Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Forms Automation Solution as well as entrepreneur and principle engineer in the social networking and telecoms spaces. He brings 23 years of experience in engineering and product development in global, multinational environments.
Matt leads our worldwide sales organization. With over 20 years experience in enterprise sales, he has domain knowledge in diverse markets including infrastructure, software, cloud and SaaS for LoB. His background includes international experience and leading sales teams in high velocity enterprise sales organizations. Most recently a sales leader at DocuSign during a period of high growth and increasing valuation, he’s previously held sales leadership roles at VMware, CA Technologies and software startups. He has successfully created go-to-market strategies to develop new revenue streams for direct and indirect sales organizations.
An established tech marketing pro with start-up and blue chip experience with companies ranging from Splunk to IBM and Microsoft, Trisha has been described as a strategist who gets things done. In both in-house and agency environments she has led and managed detailed, high-level strategic projects as well as large, long-term initiatives involving many stakeholders and moving parts. Her specialities include branding and positioning, building strong digital marketing organizations, managing diverse teams, and finding connections between seemingly disparate things.

Chairman of the Board
John Hubinger joins the board as Chairman. A serial entrepreneur with a strong track record of innovation and leadership in enterprise infrastructure software, Hubinger has successfully created and led the development of several software start-ups including Forte Software (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and AmberPoint acquired by Oracle). He subsequently held senior vice president positions at both Sun and Oracle. John is currently the Managing Director of Hub and Spoke Ventures and is on the boards of Mobilize, Cortex and Virtus Genetics. He is also a Venture Adviser at UC Berkeley Start-up Accelerator SkyDeck.
Currently Managing Director of Javelin Partners, Noah has founded and grown dozens of tech products and companies in 20 years of entrepreneurship and innovation management. Most recently he directed the enterprise product line for Google Earth and Google Maps and held several roles at Keyhole, Inc., the company that created the Web-hosted 3D digital earth model (acquired by Google). He also helped start i-mint (acquired by American Express), and helped establish the Internet loyalty rewards marketplace as a co-founder of MyPoints.com (acquired by United Airlines). Noah has also held product operations management roles at IBM/Rational (Pure Atria) and Oracle.
Greg is the Founder and Managing Partner at Costanoa Venture Capital, an early stage partner to entrepreneurs building B2B technologies that seek to capitalize on the shift towards a data-driven, cloud-based, and mobile-centric world. Prior to founding Costanoa, Greg was a Managing Director at Sutter Hill, where he led early stage investments in Feedburner, QuinStreet, Yokou and Merced Systems. He was the first non-engineer hire at Netscape Communications, wrote the initial business plan, coined the name Netscape, and created the SuiteSpot Business Unit, which he grew from zero to $150m in revenue.

Paul is a 3scale Technical Board Advisor. Currently Executive Vice President, Engineering at You Technology Inc., previous roles include co-founder and CTO of Emotive, where he conceived and designed the Emotive Cloud Platform for enterprise mobile computing. Paul was an architect at Oracle and a founder and CTO at AmberPoint where he directed technical strategy for the AmberPoint SOA governance products. Prior to AmberPoint, Paul was also a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technologist for the Developer Tools Group at Sun Microsystems and Founder, SVP and Chief Architect of Forte Software.
