Steven Willmott (Ph.D.), Co-founder and CEO

Steven was previously the research director of one of the leading European research groups in Europe on distributed systems and Artificial Intelligence at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. He brings 10 years of technical experience in Web Services, Semantic Web, network technology and the management of large-scale international R&D teams.

Guillaume Balas (MBA), CMO

Guillaume has previously been a senior strategy consultant with Oliver Wyman. His responsibilities along his 7 years experience as consultant focus on business development, strategic planning and operations management in the IT and Telecom sectors. Guillaume holds an Industrial engineering degree from ENSAM, Paris, France and a MBA from ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.

Josep M. Pujol (Ph.D.), CTO

Josep M. holds a computer science degree and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. He has had an active role in the research community of AI, distributed systems and networking with more than 20 papers in the area. He was a research scientist at Telefonica Research, prior to that he conducted research at HP Labs Palo Alto and the University of Michigan. Josep M. brings more than 10 years of experience in research and development to 3scale.

Josh Stein, Dir. of Biz Dev., USA & Canada

Josh previously founded Stein Capital Advisors, LLC, a business advisory firm assisting client in the development of business plans, financial projection models, acquisition structuring and due diligence. He was formerly a manager at Unext.com, an online business school. Josh was a staff accountant and consultant at Arthur Andersen, LLP. He holds a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and is a CPA in the State of Illinois.

Mark Cheshire, COO

Mark was previously VP Products at NTRGlobal group, where he was responsible for product management, portfolio planning, and usability engineering for NTRglobal’s SaaS solutions. Before that he was at HP Software as global head of Product Management for the IT Management business unit, with responsibilities for P&L, product strategy, and go-to-market.  Mark holds a degree in Software Engineering from the University Of Birmingham, UK and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA, USA.
