3scale's Webinar "Unleash the power of your API" held today gave a valuable insight into the benefits of APIs, API management and 3scale's solutions. The 45 minutes provided a primer for companies launching APIs and wanting to do more with existing APIs. Company co-founders Martin Tantow and Steven Willmott covered:

3scale team expands

3scale is proud to announce two new members. Guillaume Balas has joined the company as VP Sales and Marketing for Europe. Guillaume has 7 years experience in consulting, focusing on start-up launches, business development and operations management in the ICT sector. Prior to joining 3scale, Guillaume was a senior strategy consultant for Oliver Wyman, advising clients across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

"I am very excited to join the 3scale team!" says Guillaume. "Their outstanding API management solution is one of the many reasons why I wanted to join the company; 3scale ground-breaking technology and product will strongly impact the market of API Management solutions."

The second adition is Dejan Strbac who joins the technical department and brings Ruby on Rails and Web Development skills to the team to help accelerate 3scale's system development. Dejan has previous experience in a wide range of development projects including the recently launch Aleveo.com.

Deepdyve and Klout launch their APIs with 3scale

3scale demos at Google I/O

3scale is at Google I/O demoing integrations of 3scale's API management solution with Google's Python and Java AppEngines. The plugins allow easy access to 3scale's management systems for any AppEngine deployed API and aim to make it easy to launch new Web Services. 3scale is also launching two new services using AppEngine - AppSpotImage which includes tutorial information on how to get started with the Python AppEngine and the UNDATA API project service powered by the Java AppEngine which provides an unofficial public API for the wealth of data available publicly through the UNDATA initiative. 3scale will be participating at Google I/O on the 27-28th of May demoing integrations of Google App Engine and 3scale's API management solution. The App Engine provides a great way to get an API up and running and using 3scale's python plugin its easy to start managing API signups and traffic. 3scale Launches its 3scale Connect Whitelabel API Management Solution

After plenty of concepts, surveys with potential customers, development and testing, we are finally launching our CONNECT solution at the Plugg.eu conference. This solution consists of a complete set of API management infrastructure tools delivered under the customer’s brand and controlled by means of a management dashboard. CONNECT has its own homepage at 3scale solutions which provides self-confugration tools. 5 different companies are already working in the integration with CONNECT, these are: Bmat, stupeflix, popego's meaningtool, TauYou and ByVoice. The product launch is synchronised with the Plugg conference - so come and see us at the event!

New Features & 3scale sponsors Plugg

As you may have notices we’ve carried out a number of updates this week to make things easier for service providers and users. Top amongst these is the new editing mode for services – you can now edit service descriptions and contracts without taking them offline first. Just make your updates and when you’re ready, set them live. There are also a whole bunch of other small tweaks which people requested.

We also a cool new service from ByVoice live – the API lets you turn text into speech in real time for your Web Apps – check them out on their service homepage!

System updates on the way

Thanks to a lot of feedback from providers and users a like + hard work from the tech team you’ll see a few changes on the platform in the next few days – getting rid of some annoyances and adding some cool new stuff.

Chief among these is a new way to manage provided services and contracts to allow changes to live systems. Some nice new services are also in the pipeline – so stay tuned!
